(240519) -- CHANGSHA, May 19, 2024 (Xinhua) -- Zhang Yongsheng and his family have their cochlear implants turned on and debugged at a cochlear service center in central China's Hunan Province, April 22, 2024. Though hearing-impaired, Zhang Yongsheng and his wife Zhan Jingwen managed to make their daughter, who also suffers from the same disability, hear at the age of two. By running a snack stall at a night market and thanks to support from their relatives and friends, the couple managed to afford a cochlear implant for her daughter's left ear and a hearing aid for the daughter's right ear.
